These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Abel, an online accounting platform designed for small businesses in East Africa, operated by the Launchpad Collective. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Service Overview

Abel provides cloud-based accounting services, including but not limited to:

• A WhatsApp chat bot for recording transactions via chat
• Automated bookkeeping and transaction categorization using AI
• Generation of professional financial statements (income statements, balance sheets)
• Automated depreciation calculations
• VAT management for registered businesses
• Invoice management and customer billing
• Inventory, product, and service management
• Monthly AI-powered business insights and industry-specific recommendations
• Custom analytics, graphs, and pivot table functionality
• Export of financial statements and reports to Excel
• Local customer support
• 7-day refund policy for new users

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and operate a business to use Abel. By registering, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information for accounting purposes.
• You are responsible for complying with all applicable tax and business regulations in Kenya.
• You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent activities.

4. Payment and Refunds

• Subscription fees are billed monthly in Kenyan Shillings (KES) as per your selected plan.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are available within the first 7 days of your initial subscription.
• There are no hidden fees. All pricing is transparent and listed on our website.

5. Data Privacy and Security

• Your data is stored securely and is only accessible to you and authorized support staff.
• We do not share your business data with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent.

6. Service Availability

• We strive to provide continuous, reliable access to our platform, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Abel is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
• Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
